6. SPECIAL PERMITS

6.14.1 APPLICATION FOR AN INDUSTRIAL FISHING PERMIT The duration of the granting of the license is one (1) year. The fishing period runs from July 1 to February 28 of the following year. The fishing ban season for shrimp, conch, lobster, sea cucumber, and jellyfish, runs from March 1 to June 30. • Cost: L 20.00 • Time: 3 días hábiles a. Request to the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (SAG, for its acronym in Spanish), addressed to the Minister, by means of the legal proxy b. Power of attorney duly authenticated. c. Inventory checking document of the vessel. d. Sale Certification (contract) of the Honduran company with which the vessel will work. e. Navigation Patent (Merchant Marine). f. Proof of payment of taxes from the Merchant Marine g. Proof of payment of the gross tonnage registration made to the General Treasury of the Republic. • Validity: 1 year REQUIREMENTS: The Industrial fishing at the mouths of rivers, estuaries, bays, coastal and continental lagoons, lakes, national parks, marine parks, reserve areas, wildlife refuges, coral reef areas, can only be carried out fishing with hook and common ties, and under special regulations. *All documents for which copies are submitted must be duly authenticated or checked against their original in the General Secretariat of the SAG. *In the case of documents coming from abroad, they must be duly apostilled. *The value of L 20.00 corresponds to a tonne of raw product (Shrimp, Conch, Lobster, Scales) *Any request for renewal must be made three months before expiration. 6.14.2 APPLICATION FOR AN INDUSTRIAL FISHERMAN’S CARD REQUIREMENTS: Submit Industrial Fisherman Application form providing: a. Personal data. b. 2 ID card size photographs. c. Company´s name.
d. Name of the ship. e. Place and date. f. Signature of the Applicant 6.14.3 OPERATING PERMIT FOR ENTERPRISES PROCESSING AQUACULTURE PRODUCTS The Processing Establishments authorized for the production of products and by-products of fishing and aquaculture to register, the natural or legal person must present the following documents: REQUIREMENTS: a. Request addressed to the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (SAG) though Legal representative. b. Power of attorney duly authenticated c. Name of the persons or company, identity documents, address, certified copy of the Articles of Incorporation or Certification of the Company of requestor. d. Distribution permit approved by the Directorate-General for Fisheries and Aquaculture (DIGEPESCA, for its acronym in Spanish). e. Environmental license issued by the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Environment. f. Operation permit authorized by the Municipality where the plant is installed. g. Sanitary License issued by the Ministry of Health. h. Application for the assignment of the inspection service. i. Physical, chemical, and bacteriological analysis of water.
